Privacy Policy

This explains what ViniBrew collects and why. We keep this simple: we collect what's needed to run the app, and we don't sell your data.

What we collect

Account info — the email and username you sign up with, and password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase; we never see your raw password).
Profile info — your username and, if you add one, a short bio.
Content you share — posts, photos, captions, recipe details, comments, and likes you choose to share to the Buddies or Community feed.
Social connections — who you add as a Buddy (follow), stored so we can show you the right feed.
Reports — if you flag a post or comment, we store the report so it can be reviewed.

Batch data you track (gravity readings, temperatures, notes, private photos) that you have not explicitly shared stays only in your browser's local storage, on your device. It never reaches our servers unless you use the Share feature.

Who processes it

We use Supabase to host our database, authentication, and file storage. Supabase processes data on our behalf under its own security practices; we don't use additional third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use it

To run your account and let you sign in.
To show your shared posts to your Buddies and/or the Community feed, per the sharing choices you make.
To show like/comment counts and content on posts you interact with.
To review reported content for Community Guidelines violations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.

What other users can see

Your username, bio, buddy list, and anything you post to the Buddies or Community feed (including likes and comments you make) are visible to other signed-in users and, for Community posts, to visitors browsing without an account. Don't share anything in a post you'd want kept private.

Your choices

Delete a post or comment any time to remove it from the app.
Unfollow (remove) a Buddy at any time.
Export your local batch data with the in-app Backup & Restore feature.
Delete your account and all associated data (profile, posts, comments, likes, follows, and batch data) at any time from Your profile > Delete account in the app. This is permanent and immediate.

Children's privacy

ViniBrew is not directed at children. You must meet the age requirement in our Terms of Service to create an account.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
